RiversWest Work Party this Saturday
Members and Friends of RiversWest,
Due to a change in the business strategy of our landlord, Pier99, we will need to move out of the two Eastern bays in our Boat Shop. This is unfortunate, and will require some deep thinking about how to use the space we still have left, but since Pier99 has been donating the space to us it is very hard to complain.
Still, the move needs to happen very soon. We are going to have a work party at the shop this Saturday to make the move. As usual we will have doughnuts and coffee, and the festivities will begin around 9:30. We have some fairly heavy things to move, so the more the merrier!
Another piece of news is that we have again decided to participate in the Portland Boat Show, to begin this year on Sunday, January 4 and extending through the following Sunday. We will need lots of volunteers to staff our booth, which will be in the same location as last year. If you want to help, or bring a boat to display, please contact any of the board members. E-mail addresses and other contact information is available on the contacts page.
We had a very successful bronze casting class on the weekend of October 18-19, taught by Sam Johnson. Photos and a description of the event will be posted on the web site soon.
Thank you all for your participation in RiversWest!
