Forum on Canoe and Kayak Paddles, Paddling and Paddle Making

If it is true that you “should paddle your own canoe”, than you should have a paddle that is best suited for you, is the most efficient, and, even better, is one you made yourself. Towards this end, RiversWest will be sponsoring a forum on January 30, 2010 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Lucky Lab Brew Pub on canoe and kayak paddles. This will be a far-reaching discussion with people from inside and outside the Club. All aspects of paddles including what makes a good paddle, what to look for in a paddle and how to select the best one for you. Follow up classes and workshops on this topic will enable you to make your own paddle.
So set aside January 30th from 10 to 12 at the Lucky Lab Brew Pub to take the first stop towards making your own paddle. A fee of $5.00 for members and $10.00 for non-members will be collected at the door. To sign up please go to Canoe and Kayak Paddle Forum Signup.
