Members and Friends of RiversWest,
The main purpose of this mail is to let everyone know that due to the weather not straightening out we have decided to postpone the Ross Island paddle, which was scheduled for May 15. Instead we would like to encourage everyone to join the Audobon Society paddle on June 13, by which time (knock on wood!) the weather should be more suitable. Information about this will be on the Audobon Society website soon: http://www.audubonportland.org . Pre-registration is required. We will send out another notice about this when we are closer to the event. Be thinking about ways to mount your RiversWest burgee on your canoe or kayak! What?!? You don’t have one yet?? they can be purchased at the Boat Shop on First and Third Saturdays.
Also, we are still actively soliciting items for the next RiversWest newsletter, and for the web site. Launchings, letters to the editor, links to your web sites, photos, building tips, information about green boating events; anything relevant to RiversWest is welcome. Please send anything you would like to include to stuna2000@yahoo.com, or reply to this mail.
