The Boat Shop

RiversWest has a new home in the lower level of the  Pier 99 boat dealership.  We're really excited to be on the water, and there are currently 6 projects ongoing, with room for more as we clear out bays.   We're having first and third Saturday work events (9am-1pm), until everything is shipshape.  Everyone is welcome,  for coffee, donuts, good conversation, and perhaps to lend a hand as we get things settled.  Click here for directions.

  • A low cost boat shop where  members can build and repair small craft.  We are well equiped with power tools and boatbuilding knowledge. 
  • A place to get expert boatbuilding advice
  • A classroom for our classes and programs.
  • A home for RiversWest's livery boats.


Come by the shop any first or third Saturday of the month from 9am to 1pm to see the current projects, meet builders and members, and help out with projects around the shop.  There's coffee, donuts, hot dogs, and sodas for all who show up.

Builders often work on Monday nights, but it's best to call first to make sure someone is here.  (503) 236-2926.  Builders have the combination to the door, and come and go as time permits.

Shop space is available now at these rates:
      1/2 Bay          $45/month        5' X 20'      Suitable for a small dinghy, canoe or kayak
      Full Bay          $90/month     10' X 20'      Suitable for a larger boat up to about 20'
