Leader: Mike Simmons
Goal: Each participant will build a traditional lift method half-hull model. Plans and materials will be provided. Basic carving tools will be needed. We have some but participants are encouraged to bring their own tools. Chisels, gouges, rasps and file, and block planes will be very handy. See the handout for more details on required/recommended tools.
Format of Workshop: Limit of 8 participants, $20 fee for this class.
On the first day we will begin by cutting thin boards to shape, then gluing them up in layers. The second day we will carve the hull to shape. See the handout for more details on the plan for each day.
