Router plane workshop - May 18, 2013 9:00-3:00
Leader: Mike Simmons
Goal: Each participant will build a wooden router plane including blade.
Format of class: This is a hands-on class. Participants are encouraged to bring their own tools, including block plane, files and rasps, and a small gouge if you have one. We will begin by cutting out the body of the plane and drilling several large holes. Then we will make the blade out of an allen wrench, grinding to shape and sharpening it. Finally we will install the mechanism for holding the blade securely in place.
